Protect the area by covering floors and nearby furniture with a plastic drop cloth to prevent bleach stains.

Mix a bleach solution using a ratio of one-third bleach to two-thirds water. Alternatively, a fifty-fifty mix may be used.

Set the spray bottle to the mist setting and apply a light, even layer of the solution directly onto the water stains.

For smooth ceilings, use a paper towel to gently dab away extra liquid to prevent dripping, being careful not to rub or ruin the paint finish.

Tip: If you have a popcorn ceiling, do not dab or rub; simply spray and let it dry on its own to avoid scraping off the texture.

Allow the solution to sit for approximately four minutes, then let the area dry completely to assess the remaining stain.

If a faint ring remains, apply a second coat of the bleach water solution and allow it to dry overnight.

If stains persist the next morning, repeat the spraying process on any visible spots until they are completely gone.
