Steps

1
Prepare the seeds by soaking one spoonful of parsley seeds in lukewarm water for 24 hours to soften the outer membrane and accelerate germination.
2
Create a seed paste by cooking one spoonful of flour with 200 ml of water over low heat until it reaches a thin pudding consistency, then let it cool completely.
Tip: Add the soaked and strained seeds to this cooled paste and store the mixture in a plastic freezer bag.
3
Prepare the planting area using loose soil without lumps. Create a furrow approximately 1 cm deep with rows spaced 20 to 30 cm apart.

4
Sow the seeds shallowly by squeezing the seed and flour mixture from the plastic bag into the furrow, then cover with a thin layer of soil.

5
Water the seeds using a natural nettle fertilizer (made by steeping 1 tbsp dried nettle in 1 liter of boiling water for 20 minutes and diluting it 1:3 with water). Ensure the soil is moist but not muddy.
6
Maintain the plant in a location with partial shade and keep the ground evenly moist. Fertilize every 3 weeks to support growth.
7
Harvest by regularly cutting the plant back once it is at least 6 inches tall and branching stems have three leaf segments. Prune main leaf stems at the base where they join the clump.

Pro Tips

  • Parsley is a biennial plant, meaning it produces foliage in the first year and flowers/seeds in the second.
  • Avoid planting parsley near mint, as they reportedly do not grow well together.
  • For better results, consider planting parsley near tomatoes.
